Cat # A0204
Cascade / Porter / Pitchoff - $15.95

These three mountain hikes were completed during the Summer of 2002. The 6.2 mile round trip hike to
Cascade & Porter took 4 hours 12 minutes of actual hiking time. At 4,098 feet high Cascade is the 36th
highest  peak and  Porter is 38th at 4,059  feet. Both are  included in the 46 High Peaks listing and their
summit views are  amazing, even  in Winter. Pitchoff, at 3,600 feet  high, is  not one  of the High Peaks.
The actual hiking time for our 6.4 mile round trip Pitchoff hike was  4 hours 56 minutes. Almost constant
views from Pitchoff’s ridgeline to its lesser peaks and the views at the two Balanced Boulders might rival
those of Cascade itself. Length of slideshow = Approx. 69 minutes.

Cat # B0204  =   Marcy / Skylight - $15.95

This 17.0 mile round trip hike took 9 hours 56 minutes of actual hiking time to complete during the Summer
of 2002. Marcy is  the highest summit  in the Adirondack mountains at 5,344 feet while  Skylight is the 4th
tallest at 4,926 feet. Both are obviously included in the 46 High Peaks listing. Although one of the longest
and tallest trail hikes, it is not  the most physically challenging nor dangerous. However,  weather conditions, which can change very suddenly even during the Summer months, could make it so. ALWAYS be prepared.
A few Winter 2003 photos are also included. Length of slideshow = Approx. 66 minutes.

Cat # C0204  =  Wright / Algonquin / Iroquois - $15.95

This 13.9 mile round  trip hike during the Summer of 2002 took 9 hours 31  minutes of actual hiking time
to complete. Three of the 46 High Peaks are included in this hike: Algonquin is the 2nd highest peak at
5,114 feet, Iroquois is the 8th highest at  4,840 feet, and Wright is 16th  at 4,580 feet. The  trail down to
Lake Colden is very steep and quite rugged as is the trail along Avalanche Lake . Allow sufficient time
if descending by this route. Magnificent views from all the summits as well as Avalanche Lake will long
be remembered. Length of slideshow = Approx. 69 minutes.

Cat # F0304  =   Whiteface / Esther - $15.95

This DVD is divided into two parts with separate trail maps.

Part #1  ( Length  of  slideshow = 50  minutes ) : Our  Summer  one  way hike  from Connery  Pond  to Wilmington Dam covers a total of 14.5 miles and took 9 hours 31 minutes of actual hiking time to complete. The two 46 High Peaks reached were: Whiteface, ranked as 5th highest at 4,687 feet and Esther is 28th at 4,240 feet. A second hike up Whiteface’s slide area from the Whiteface lean-to and down to the Ski Center in early Fall of 2003 took 5 hours 13 minutes. A few Winter photos have been added for seasonal comparison.

Part #2  ( Length  of  slideshow = 40 minutes ) :  This  snowshoe trip  up  the  Whiteface  Mt. Veterans Memorial  Highway in December of  2002 covers a total of 10.6 miles round trip from the gatehouse ( toll booth ) and took 5 hours 38 minutes of hiking time to complete. Some photos from a drive up the highway during the Summer of 2003 are also included for seasonal variety. Be prepared for very cold temperatures at the top on windy days, especially in Winter.

Cat # L0304  =  Haystack   - $15.95

This Summer of 2003 hike is one of our longest and totals 18.3 miles round trip. Total actual hiking time was 10 hours 42 minutes. Most of the hike, about 14.2 miles, is relatively easy compared to the rest which is very steep and rugged no matter which trail you choose for the ascent / descent. Although there are several different trails leading to Haystack, they are all quite long and equally rugged. At 4,960 feet in altitude, Haystack is ranked 3rd highest of the 46 High Peaks . Many rank it #1 for views, especially of nearby Marcy. The end of July is recommended for day hikers on this hike due to longer daylight hours and fewer black flies. Length of slideshow = Approx. 72 minutes.
